Peli BioThermal recently hired Thomas Shurson as Director of Global Quality. Shurson’s responsibilities include oversight of plant quality assurance and control at manufacturing sites in Maple Grove, Minn., Albuquerque, NM and Leighton Buzzard, U.K., as well as service centers globally.
“As we grow our capabilities and our global presence to better serve our customers, we also need to scale functions that ensure our products and services are best-in-class,” said Douglas Ross, President of Peli BioThermal. “Tom’s experience leading quality programs with a customer feedback-driven approach will help us meet or exceed expectations as we evolve.”
Prior to Peli BioThermal, Shurson spent 28 years in progressive roles across product management, customer service and quality. During his five years at August Technology, Shurson improved a legacy product to subsequently improve customer satisfaction and reduce manufacturing and service costs. He also built a global team that achieved a 35 percent reduction in time to close issues within six months. In his next role at ATMI, Shurson built a global quality organization and achieved 180 percent global product quality improvement. More than half of Shurson’s career was spent at Entegris, a global manufacturer of semiconductors. In his most recent role, he led quality for Entegris’s newly-formed life sciences division.
Join us as we welcome Tom to the Peli BioThermal team.
