Peli BioThermal Highlights Importance of Cold Chain from Discovery to Distribution at LogiPharma

Oct 19, 2021

Peli BioThermal, the global name in temperature controlled packaging solutions, announces its return to in person trade shows this month as the company exhibits and speaks at LogiPharma Oct. 19-20, 2021 in Philadelphia. Throughout the conference, Peli BioThermal will highlight how it supports companies from discovery through distribution of pharmaceutical products.

“The pharmaceutical industry is evolving rapidly, which adds uncertainty and new pressures to an already fragile supply chain,” said Adam Tetz, Director of Worldwide Marketing at Peli BioThermal. “Peli BioThermal works alongside customers to envision the solutions of the future, including standardizing cold chain operations globally. We worry about the cold chain so our customers can focus on their core business.”

On Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 2:35 p.m., James Klingelhoefer, Director of Sales, Americas at Peli BioThermal will speak on the topic of strategies that de-risk the supply chain against temperature deviations when moving from clinical to commercial products. He will highlight the importance of cost containment and best practices for insourced, outsourced and global supply chains, as well as lessons learned from the pandemic that companies can apply moving forward.

This past year tested both pharmaceutical and cold chain companies as they worked simultaneously to develop COVID-19 vaccines and to create solutions to deliver vaccines to the world. Through innovation and adaptation, Peli BioThermal expanded its product lines to include a variety of frozen options that cover temperatures of minus 20, minus 35, minus 50 and minus 80 degrees Celsius.

At LogiPharma, Peli BioThermal will display its expanded range of dry ice parcels released earlier this year. The reusable Crēdo Cube™ shippers, as well as single-use DeepFreeze™ and Sherpa Systems™ shippers, provide frozen payload protection from 96 to 225 hours. Each uses less dry ice than other deep frozen shipping systems, lowering overall transportation costs. Payload capacities range from 1.1 litres to 179 litres and cover temperature ranges of minus 65 degrees Celsius to minus 20 degrees Celsius.
