As COVID-19 worked its way through communities and before vaccines were widely available to curb its spread, Public Health England (now UKHSA) tasked Movianto with providing central storage for the UK’s future COVID-19 vaccine stock and distribution management. The scale was like something the country had never seen before: distribution to hundreds of NHS vaccination sites, including 267 hospital hubs, 204 centers run by pharmacies, 1,036 GP-run outlets and 117 mass vaccination centers across the UK.
An equally challenging feat? The temperature requirements for vaccine storage and transport with temperatures ranging from refrigerated to -75 degrees Celsius.
