The FlyPharma Conference has been established as a platform which bridges the gaps between the various parties in the pharma-logistics chain to help create mutual understanding and foster improvements in efficiency, performance, service and cost management. This is the second year the conference, which is being held at the Sheraton Hotel at Brussels Airport, has been staged.
Pelican BioThermal’s Ira Smith said: “I’m very pleased to represent Pelican BioThermal at the FlyPharma Conference in Brussels. As Director of Strategic Development for Global Transport and Logistics, it’s great to be part of a compelling panel presentation and discussion.“We have assembled a core group of key global supply chain experts who will help broaden the understanding of industry trends. As a global player, it’s very important for Pelican BioThermal to contribute to these educational conferences. “We are very much a part of the healthcare industry’s global supply chain, and we want to give back as much as possible, to the industry we so proudly serve.”
With over 25 years of experience in the field of global supply chain logistics, including executive roles with both the airline and the freight forwarding industries, Ira’s extensive expertise in pharma logistics made him the ideal candidate to join the panel discussion. This year's event will continue to emphasise the FlyPharma objective of presenting a wide range of contemporary subjects within an overall theme of partnership and collaboration. A cross-industry array of industry experts and commentators will present and discuss a full range of pressing pharma-logistics issues and inter-related topics in the context of a more closely integrated logistics chain.
